Dutch Tech (“we”, “us”) provides mobile device repair services at your location. This policy explains how we handle personal data when you use our website, book a repair, contact us, or place an order where the online shop is available.

Who we are

Dutch Tech operates in Newport and surrounding areas in South Wales. For data protection queries, contact us at hello@dutch-tech.co.uk.

What we collect

  • Booking & repairs: name, phone number, email, address and postcode, preferred visit details, device and repair selections, notes you provide, and related messages.
  • Shop orders (when enabled): name, email, phone (if provided), delivery address from Stripe checkout, and order contents.
  • Payments: card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card number on our servers.
  • Website & security: basic technical data (e.g. IP address, browser type) via hosting and analytics providers as configured in your deployment.

How we use data

  • To provide and schedule repairs, communicate about your visit, and fulfil orders.
  • To process payments and prevent fraud (via Stripe).
  • To send transactional emails (e.g. confirmations) where you have provided your email.
  • To improve our service and fix technical issues.

Legal bases (UK GDPR)

We rely on contract (providing the repair or order), legitimate interests (running a secure service, limited analytics), and where required consent (e.g. optional marketing—if offered, we will ask clearly).

Sharing data

We share data only with processors needed to operate the service, such as:

  • Stripe (payments)
  • Supabase (authentication and database hosting, as configured)
  • Email delivery providers (e.g. Resend) when enabled for transactional email
  • Infrastructure/hosting (e.g. Vercel) for serving the site and API routes

We do not sell your personal data.

Retention

We keep booking, order, and communication records for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes—typically for a limited number of years unless a longer period is required by law.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object, and data portability. To exercise these rights, email hello@dutch-tech.co.uk. You may also complain to the ICO (UK).

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies as needed for site functionality, security, and (where configured) analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
